Saw A Dame To Kill for. Good news is that I enjoyed the movie. Eva Green was the right choice for playing The Dame in this movie. Not only that Eva pulls off her acting here by stealing the show. But also manages to give the audience a good taste of fanservice here. Something was missing from this that made the first Sin City good. I think it may have been the fact that there were three stories that weren't from the original graphic novels of Sin City. Other than that. It was a good matinee showing. Its a shame we won't get a third Sin City(unless if DVD/blu ray sales do well for it).

For the past few days, me and my mom have been watching the Star Trek movies that are coming on TV, and for someone who has only seen Generations, Fist contact, and the Reboot, I really like them. We've watched 3-6 and the remake so far, and we'll be watching Insurrection on the 5th and Wrath of Kahn on the 7th. I will say that The Final Frontier is the worse out of all the ones I've seen so far but The Undiscovered Country would be the best.
I just need to see the first two, the last two (of The Next Generation films), and Into Darkness.

I saw "How to Train Your Dragon" ... A pretty and funny movie. The sequel is in the theater I go to but I don't wanna see it in French so errr... I will wait a little more.

I saw the sequel on Labor Day! I liked the first one a lot better, but it's still a good movie that's worth seeing. Lots of things happen to move the story along, but it kind of gives away that they'll find another Night Fury if they make a third movie.

How to train your dragon 3 is happening, but it isn't coming out until 2017. Better start playing the waiting game then.

I just watched an old movie from George Lucas about an anthropomorphic duck who comes from another planet and almost accidentally saves the day.
His name was Howard the Duck.

Still haven't seen the second one, grrrr!
Theater in town had it but it was on the one screen with the 35mm film, the only screen there that does it but the screen there is tiny as well as the seating area. About 8-9 seats in a row and one long row. Tiny. Didn't want to see a movie which should have been shown on the bigger screens with the digital projectors. Just will have to wait for it to come out on bluray.

The Amazing Spiderman 2 was pretty meh. I liked the four previous ones but this one just felt like "LOOK AT ALL THESE VILLAINS WE GOT A PERMISSION TO USE!" with a whole lot of talking in between. Even the acting felt a bit... off.
I'll still propably watch Sinister Six and/or The Amazing Spiderman 3 but this movie left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.

Just got done watching The Amazing Spider-Man. It was not as bad as I had heard. I like the direction that they took with him. I want to see the sequl now and from Mass's coment above this one.... might not be worth it, but that's what I thought of this one before I saw it.

That just reminded me of a friend I have who's recently been watching Spider-Man Movies. Also, I think this is your 2014th post! Congratulations!

I had a few days off from work so I had time to catch up on my movie backlog that has literally been piling up on my desk.
The new Godzilla movie was actually pretty sweet. They had cool monster action scenes, an epic version of the King of Monsters himself, a pretty sweet adversary for him and even the human scenes were interesting to follow. One of the better Godzilla movies I have seen, definitely. It was no Final Wars but a good movie in its own right.
Next I watched Silent Hill: Revelation. It was an okay film, had pretty faithful characters (though obviously alternate versions of them), the whole Silent Hill lore was explored pretty nicely and the story from the first film was tied in well. I loved the scene in the asylum with the nurses and lold when Heather popped her head from behind the gurney (this scene was also in one of the trailers). Lots of fan service there too, the ending was just amazing.
Captain America: Winter Soldier. I didn't really get into the first movie. It was okay but nothing to write home about and absolutely nothing compared to the awesome Thor movie that came out about the same time. Winter Soldier, however, was the movie I was expecting the first film to be like. Great action and just an overall great movie, though at points when all the mayhem was going on in the city I couldn't help but wonder where the hell all the actual authorities were.
And finally, just before writing this, I watched ABCs of Death. I'm not sure if what I watched was horror, comedy, snuff or porn. Nazi symbolism, rape, animal abuse, ruthless random murder, child death and the occasional feces. There was even a scene entirely about farting. I could mention the full frontal nudity but after everything else it kind of drowns in the madness. Half the time I was laughing my ass off to the sheer absurdity of the movie and the other half I tried my best not to vomit. The fact that the bluray of this that I bought was being sold with the same low price as the DVD should've been warning enough but oh well. Still wasn't a bad movie, just really, really weird. To get a general idea of this movie, just search for "Z is for Zetsumetsu". Just a reminder, it's NSFW.
Oh yeah, and 3,000th post! Woo!

Saw this at Target. Had no idea what it was, but I bought it anyway since it sounded really cute. Still haven't watched it yet, but the trailer makes me think I'll really enjoy it.
