Gift Ideas
#1
With so little time until christmas, this may be cutting it a little close, but what the hay.

I'm looking to chear up a kid for Christmas. I have enough money to get them preaty much anything (just as long as it does not cost over $25). The problem with me doing this is I have no idea what kids like now. All I really need is a few ideas to go off of. It really does not mater the gender or the age, though I had the age 6-11 in mind.

I take it you don't know this kid you're gifting something to. Is it safe as assume you're going through a charity? If so, which one? This could be important from an economic standpoint. If its a poor economic status, the parents might just sell the item, or the kid outright won't be able to use it. If its for a disease basis, that's harder to determine.

I.... didn't have a charity in mind. I was just trying to do something for a child (which I have no clue who it would be) that wouldn't be getting a lot of toys due to the parents only having enough for food or whatever. This was more of a way to get me thinking due to me not knowing what kids like. I haven't played with toys in a long long time and that's what was stopping me from buying anything.

Go through a charity then. Find a local toy drive.

Go to any car boot sale/flea market. They usually sell toy cars, and children's books and stuff for cheap, and sometimes you can find Gameboy's and DS's there. One guy was selling a DS for £20 with a few games chucked in when I used to go back during the Summer, and trust me, that would be a balling gift for a child.

If there are none in your area, check charity shops.
