Castlevania spiritual successor is on the way
#1
Thumbs Up
First a Banjo-kazooie successor made its way, now we're getting a successor to Konami's Castlevania. A former producer of Castlevania has revealed that he was secretly developing a spiritual successor to Castlevania.

So far, the only thing that we have out of this for what the game is, is this image from the link above.

If you look REALLY closely on the bottom left and art corners. You get a glimpse of some sort of haunted backgrounds. I can assume those are development screenshots of this project. So far, the full moon has past. And that means some news about this will surface in the next few days or so. Your thoughts about this?

I'm not sure if I'm ready for a spiritual successor. I'm still internally dealing with the fall of Konami.

At least someone is willing to do something about Konami's falling after all the backlash that is going on about Konami pulling the plug on Silent Hills(along with removing any traces of P.T online).

Well, this should be a good coping mechanism then.

The last one seems to be a voting one on which weapon would be used for the game. I chose the sword.

Edit: Found this out after waiting a bit, if you choose a different weapon the guy in the chair will comment that 'you changed sides, how interesting'.

I wonder what the whole voting thing will do. Certainly seems to be wheting my curiosity.

Crap. I'm not normally convinced by just concept only. The latest one that managed this was Darkest Dungeon.

But I would love to support this game now.

The Kickstarter page is up. So far its reached at $359,014. So people are already throwing their money at this. Thats a good thing. Only downside is that its not being released for the Wii U.

It's funded now. Currently it's at 528,000 and rising quickly. It seriously went up 5k in about 4 minutes just now. Problem is, is do I fund this game, or Yooka-laylee. I'm kind of torn now.

It won't be long before we get a successor to Silent Hills, I think most of the success is coming from the fact that Konami fans are going against Konami for their BS actions lately.

Holy crap that facebook trending thing must have done this kickstarter some good, it's gone up almost 200K since my last post. That means we get a hard cover, and David Hayter is happening, probably before day's end at this rate. Frickin' awesome.

Speaking of which, Konami seemed to not like that video by Super Bunnyhop and had Youtube take it down.  And that action got noticed by Kotaku.

On topic: Yay!  But the question remains: Will Sword win or will it be Whip?

I honestly would not be interested in the slightest unless it actually was a Silent Hill title.
