What cartoon would you like to see rebooted?
#1
Since apparently after the revival of My Little Pony, shortly followed by TMNT and Rainbow Brite, we have started to live in some kind of a golden age of rebooted 80s and 90s cartoons. We are already getting a few of rebooted shows coming up including Ducktales and Powerpuff Girls and a little more obscure shows like Superted, in addition to continuations of existing shows like Digimon Adventure Tri and Super Dragon Ball.

The simple question is, what shows would you like to see rebooted in modern times or continued from where they left off?

Still waiting for more Samurai Jack.

Well we already got Xiaolin Chronicles and Code Lyoko: Evolution (the latter I'm waiting for an English dub for) so that's cool.

A reboot of Batman Beyond would be cool. A series that was more adult then it's already mature kid's show while still making it child friendly is a tough thing to find.

While we're at it, let's have a reboot of The Zeta Project and Static Shock. The former I only caught like 2 or 3 episode, but Zeta IS part of the Batman continuity so it would make sense. I think I saw almost every episode of Static and it was a great show. We need a few more black super heroes and Static is a nice one to start with.

If there's one show that needs a reboot, its this.

I second nomination for awkward sexualization and fighter jets versus every sci-fi cliche imaginable. It was great 90s TV.

^If such a reboot of Swat Kat happens. If its in the right hands. I would watch it. Just keep Ted turner and ANYONE RELATED to Ted away from Cartoon Network(seriously, him canceling SK for more Captain Planet is a sin among entertainment).

While on reboots. I would like to see an animated series based off of Zelda(but in the veins of Samurai Jack) that would rock. Along with Darkwing Duck(although, I wouldn't mind an animated feature based off of the new comic that was made by Boom that I need to read).

Before you guys throw logs at me. I just want to see this return on a few reasons.

1. I liked Ren and Stimpy's Adult Party Cartoon.
2. John K hasn't done a cartoon that he had fun with in years.
3. We need more adult animation in this world that is cartoony looking and doesn't follow the routes of shit like Seth Macfarlane's crap.

The Tick

It is one of my favorite series to date and since it is the definitive on Superhero parody, I'd like to see what it has to say about all the superhero line-up showing up nowadays.

I can just imagine that one of the episodes of this reboot would start off like Sin City(black and white) and all of a sudden after a few seconds of narration the light goes on and Tick yells 'turn out that light! Can't you see a superhero needs darkness to narrate what is going to happen next within his mind?'.

They keep teasing a Reboot reboot every few years. I don't listen anymore.

I hear the comics have been well received, so I think a new Jem and the Holograms cartoon might actually work pretty well.

They just released the trailer for a live-action movie of Jem and the holograms. And the fans aren't taking it too well. Since it was given the Michael Bay treatment(AKA, done poorly so it would piss off people who liked it).
