This, from Reddit, pretty much sums up how much of a joke the French justice system and government has become.
Can't wait for next year's elections.

"How after being arrested for (i) being radicalized, (ii) attempting to join ISIS in Syria, (iii) plotting attacks, he is not incarcerated? No no, he is under house arrest with his electronic bracelet deactivated 5 hours a day because you know he is not dangerous at all and should be able to walk free. And guess what, he carries a terrorist attack, who would have seen that coming?"
