Haha, I'll definitely try to join in when I can.

Okay, I've seen 4 episodes of A Certain Magical Index now and it's seeming like your regular run-of-the-mill shonen. Has anyone else seen this? Am I just wasting my time or does this series have some actual hook to it?

I love anime. I've been watching it since I could remember and I've seen a few hundred now. I like slice of life anime's like Manabi Straight and Hantsuki but I'm also fine with Shounen and Mech's like Eureka Seven and Soul eater.

Just watched Akira again(on Blu-ray). Damn that's a good film (if a tad BS at times).

I decided to watch Naruto, I'm really into it. It's kind of addicting to me. I like the music in it too.

As someone who just gotten tired of how long the anime has run, I have to admit, the music for it is pretty good.

Indeed. I'm not really into Naruto though I've watched up to Shippuden, and the music has generally been good. I like the mix of traditional Japanese folk music with a mix of a slight upbeat sound to it. Or the piano songs like Sadness and Sorrow.

I've seen a few episodes of Naruto, but it doesn't click with me mostly because I really hate every character in that anime which I'm aware it's something some fans praise; but lord help me if I could just give each and every one of those 'ninjas' a firm smack across the face! (Which the writers' response to that would be to do the wood-replacement save move.)

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way. To sum up the characters' personalties for you, Saske: Life sucks. Sakura: OH MY GOD SASKE IS SO HOT!!! Naruto: I can do it!

And this here is why I prefer the manga version to most of the popular series (Naruto, DragonBall etc). They have more depth to them. That, and you don't have to watch a billion filler episodes.

On another note, I just got the first three volumes of Pokémon Adventures in the mail. So good.

I've been checking out One Piece from the library and reading it recently. I've been trying to get myself as caught up as I can on Weekly Shonen Jump titles.

Anyways, the Devil Survivor 2 anime is now streaming on Crunchyroll in the US. Here are some 48 hour guest passes I have left over for Crunchyroll, if anyone wants them. Feel free to use them. They give them out all the time and mine always end up expiring because I don't have anyone to give them to:

HSGTGAEN7NK
SWT436TL36U

It'll let you watch newest simulcasts, in HD, without commercials on a device (like the PS3 or iPad) with those.

I watched about half of Shippuden before I got tired of it, but the music never took a step down, which I like. There aren't enough animes that focus on good music.

I finally got around to starting Death Note a few weeks ago and I finished recently. Still don't know what to think.

I think the premise of Death Note and the first half is frikkin' incredible. I was completely into the entire Death Note series. It wasn't some generic loli-bullshit but had a great story and one that I felt was original. The characters L and Light are memorable and very interesting.
The second half the anime dipped and it wasn't as interesting. I still liked it and thought it ended OK but it wasn't as good as the first part.
Have you read the books by the way?
Los Angeles B.B Murder Case and L changed the World?
The first one is a small case L solved during a certain time period in the Death Note series
and the second is a what-if scenario based on
.
L.A.B.B Is extremely well written with an amazing plot that'll make your head explode whereas L Changed The World isn't as interesting but it did have a film on it (and the film is ....meh, too rushed).
