Some days or weeks ago the forums were on maintenance because of a software update or something among those lines.

May I ask what things were updated? / what has changed from the previous version?

I was somehow never alerted to the fact that you posted this message. Nothing of consequence was updated - it was just a routine software update from MyBB. If you're really curious, you can find the release notes here.
