I just thought I'd point it out. The most recent video is the playstation rpg one, which came out 10 months ago.

Yeah... they're really annoying to add but we should really do it. If anyone wants to volunteer, I'd be happy to explain the process.

And now the video section hasn't been updated since.... 2019, I think.

EDIT: Hey, MehDeletingLater. Not sure if you are gonna read this but I'll appreciate if you helped on this one.

That entire section is being removed from the new version of the site. It will not be updated.

Wait, really?

EDIT: Also, new version of the site?

Yes, really. And I know I've mentioned a new version a couple of times but it hasn't truly been officially announced yet. There are quite a few changes coming though, including dropping the forum entirely (though it will be preserved the same way the old DYKG forum was).

The forums will be dropped? That makes me a little sad, but I can see why you would do it. I'm gonna miss the era where Internet forums were so prevalent.

The Real Life section will also be preserved or is gonna be deleted?

Trust me, I miss forums as well. The advent of Facebook and then the prevalence of chat services like Discord really pushed them aside but I still feel like they have value. It's just impossible to get people to use them these days.

The entire thing will be preserved. You'll still be able to log in, you just won't be able to interact with anything.

BTW, just wanted to say that I'm thankful that at least the forums are gonna be preserved as an archive. I wish Capcom did the same thing with their Capcom Unity forums instead of nuking the whole thing.

I've always had a problem with the idea of just deleting data so it's definitely not going anywhere. It may not have a functional purpose any more (and it will likely also be reverted to a more generic theme so it won't look exactly like this) but the content itself will be saved and accessible at least.

So when can we expect the forums to cease to function? Any estimates?

Not likely before the new version launches which is a still a little ways off so there's some time.

The new site will still have users, profiles, and the ability to comment and some other cool stuff. There just won't be forums.
