I have been waiting
#1
I have this submission pending for a long time I'm new to this site and I think it had been just a bit over a week and still, my submission for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit didn't become a trivia piece for the game.

I see this kind of post a lot and from what I've been seeing from the responses are:
It might take a while to verify or get to the trivia piece. Sometimes there is a backup of content that is in queue to be posted but they don't want to flood the site with a bunch of new trivia. I'm not sure how many people are in charge of posting and checking info.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

At the moment, there is some trivia waiting in the queue and it will be seen. Although as a mod I can't see the queue, I do know that many factors go into accepting trivia; checking sources, sometimes content of games that have just released/will be released, our admins have sister sites they run, DYKG videos, etc. Also, most of us volunteer and have jobs and such (I work full time and married with children).
Gathering trivia about our passion, video games, is important to us. I can't put a time stamp on it, but you will be notified once your trivia is reviewed.

Looks like we're in for a Vast Queue once again. Last year Trivia Submissions became disabled for sometime so that staff could work through the Massive Queue, not sure right now if the queue's at an extent right now for it to happen again. I may be a Man of Short Patience, but when it comes to things like this, I try my best to keep it under control. VGFacts certainly does get quite the contributors these days, and there's lots of stuff out there that would make good submissions.

The queue isn't as awful as it was last year - it's currently sitting at 268. There are very few people with the free time to properly go through it though so it's still going to be a while.

DYKG and VGFacts I think are actually run by different people, though DYKG appeared to be what inspired the creation of VGFacts, and VGFacts Submissions had for a bit inspired stuff to talk about in DYKG Videos, and a few submissions that were posted to VGFacts had been shared on DYKG.com in the past. In fact, I don't many VGFacts Contributors that've done DYKG Videos aside from Dazz (others are DYKG Video Viewers like myself), and the contributor who happens to be called DidYouKnowGaming from what I learnt a few years ago actually has no relationship with the Youtube Channel that posts videos of Trivia itself (he's even credited as Dr. Wario for submissions of his that get shown onto DYKG.com believe it or not: http://68.media.tumblr.com/99cc30d181337...r1_500.png).

Um... not quite. DYKG and VGFacts are definitely run by the same people. VGFacts began as a collaboration between DYKG and the VG Resource as a way to more efficiently source trivia for DYKG as well as display more obscure trivia that wouldn't necessarily fit into a DYKG video.

As for the DidYouKnowGaming member here, that is, in fact, Shane (who runs the DYKG YouTube channel). When we moved the submissions from the old DYKG forum here, we credited members directly who signed up here. Those who didn't sign up were left credited to DidYouKnowGaming as that was the account we used to port them over.

In the future, it would probably be better to ask if you'd like something clarified than to start posing your assumptions as fact.
