Youtube video embed bugged?
#1
So for the past few months now, whenever I try to embed a youtube video it'll always tell me an error has occurred and won't play the video, but when I try to edit the post, the post itself will show as being correctly embedded but when I try and submit the post I get errors again.

I'm not sure what is causing this problem, but no one else has seemed to complain about it as far as I know, so is it just me?

Here's an image to show the problem, and I'll even link a random video here to see if it happens again.

Hmm, well for some odd reason it seems to be fine in THIS post. But not in others.

I've seen this bug but I haven't figured out what's causing it yet.

Fair enough, at least you guys know that it's there.

What works is just having the post .com part of the URL

So [YouTube_embed-thing]watch?v=SCqZc6EPgQk[/YouTube_embed-thing]

I think it's designed to just use the video ID but maybe the URL structure changed and now you need the "watch?v=" part too?

I've still been able to put Videos into Trivia Evidence pages without having to use the watch?v= part of them. Observe:

So I guess this bug was fixed now? Because I noticed those posts where I only put the watch?=v do not show.

I did just update the forum software the other day so it's possible it was fixed then.

I went through and fixed a lot of the videos you posted, Jocko. I don't know why they wouldn't show the way you had them, so I used the code after "v=" and put it between [*youtube] [/youtube]. (Exclude the asterisk *. I only put it there to prevent an embedded video that plays nothing). That has always worked for me.
