Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
#1
Ok, I feel that this game warrants its own thread. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is the most enjoyable kart racer I've played since Mario Kart 64, this game is just a sh*tload of fun™ The only flaw I can find is that my best characters are Amy and Meemee.

So, lemme know if you want to play on Steam.

I agree that the game is really rad, though I hate the flying sections on any track.

From what I have seen from Lets Plays it looks really fun.

Yeah it is, I feel like it gives you a lot more to do than Mario Kart usually does, even excluding the planes, trains and automobiles. Mario Kart has two drift levels, All Stars has three and you can switch drift directions without losing the boost. Stuff like that is all over the place, and honestly I like the track design here over MK. It just feels a lot more energetic, everything feels alive all of the time instead of just being a road.

Also for Lightmatt, they are pretty annoying, but I don't mind them that much if they're really short, like on the Battleship track.

Gotta say, Sega did something right here. The game is really fun, and I believe it was a hit for something not enterly Sonic. Also, they brought some interesting characters like Vyse, and NiGHTS. It just shows Sega still care about their IP's and Fans. I mean hell, I'm listening to the the soundtrack for the Rouge Landing map, and it's pretty darn good, since it's very well done.

Oh, and a little DYK, that I can't find source for. The creator of Skies apparently burst into tears of happiness when they showed her the Blue Rouges map and the music of that map.

Now all Sega needs is a brawler.

I love the Sega racing series but I really couldn't be bothered to get this game. Have played it at a friends on Steam. Shame it's not 60FPS though like the first. Great racing series. The flying and water sections aren't my thing though.

I really loved the first one. It was way better than I thought it would be, and this one looks even better. Plus I'll buy pretty much anything that acknowledges the existence of Space Channel 5.
