Hanna Barbara is notorious for characters based on racial stereotypes.
(I find it unfortunate as this kind of ruins some of my childhood)
Grape Ape was an African-American stereotype, depicted as being large, strong, but very stupid and intimidating. That, and the grape juice stereotype and all.
The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan.
Basically, its one of their scooby-doo shows but with a large chinese family.
Their dynamic was that 3 kids formed a band and one of them was a mechanical genius.
Warner Brothers did it a lot less subtly though.
Speedy Gonzales, a mexican stereotype,'s original cartoon, was based around him crossing the US-Mexico border and stealing things, getting past the border guard, Sylvester, to feed lazy stereotype mice.
