Sega has been milking the crap out of Sonic and only Sonic ever since the Dreamcast bit the dust. I'm not saying dropping out of the console market was't a good decision, but ever since it seems Sega has only relied on the blue hedgehog to make them a quick buck. Even when they do make or revive a new IP, they usually had to slap "Made by Sonic Team" (like with Billy Hatcher and the few localizations Puyo has gotten) to hope it sells a copy. Even recently when Sega publishes a new IP, they don't bother to market it much, and thus no one buys it. *cough rhythm thief cough*. Not to mention Aliens is pretty much dead due to the latest instalment, and I'm not so sure on Shogun and Football Manager.
Sega has been re-releasing their old Saturn and Dreamcast titles, so baby steps I guess.
Basically they've been relying on him too much.
