I believe this means Dahlia will be having a smaller litter; I can't tell exactly from feeling her belly but it certainly won't be more than two. She's just looking so miserable laying around all the time that I just want her to get it over with. That is the worst feeling in the world. I grew up out in the country where people would dump their animals out by the garbage or on our road all the time. One time got a group of kittens. I wanted them so bad but we had to get rid of them all. And every one of them found a home.
What sucks is that the baby hasn't even been born yet and I'm getting attached since it's just so amazing how I can hold Dahlia and feel it moving around inside of her. I really don't want to re-home it, but I have no choice ><
I'm sorry you had to go through it as well! It's even harder when you live near an area where people like to abandon pets.
One time during winter when I was really little my mom went outside to warm up the car. When we went back out we heard meowing and found three little kittens under it trying to keep warm. She called the Humane Society to come pick them up and I treasured every moment with those little kitties until they were taken away.
