You know what's, funny because one time in the original Animal Crossing I some how got Resetti to stop coming if I reset the game. The fact that I could reset the game and not have to deal with him was amazing.

Probably it happened after I got to this part, and just like the picture I started swearing at him and insulting him profusely, before promptly resetting the game again. He never came back after that.
