I read both books and comics, though mostly comics nowadays. Do we count comics? Because my reading kinda went from comics in my childhood to young-adult books and to novels in my teens since I had literally read most of the comics and juvenile fiction books in my local library. Then I read pretty much every single novel in there that piqued my interest, found the wonderful world of online shopping and went back to comics. Such a wonderful circle I did there.
In any case, my favorite author is Stephen King, though I do enjoy the works of H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe. I've read most of King's books, I own a huge book that has all of Poe's writings in it and I have the Lovecraft Omnibus series on my shopping list. The only Lovecraft related piece of literature I have is a comic based on his stories called The Lovecraft Anthology (vol 1). I also love S.D. Perry's Resident Evil book series which is a fantstic read and shows that she truely knew what she was writing about.
When it comes to comics I read both manga, manhwa and everything in between. Marvel, Dark Horse, IDW, DC, Image... Pretty much all western comics fit my tastes from Deadpool to Friendship is Magic.
I guess I should also throw in my favorites per medium. Favorite novel: Stephen King's Pet Sematary, favorite novella: The Lady of Finnigan's Hearth (sadly I have no idea who wrote it), favorite comic: Dead Eyes Open (from Slave Labor Graphics) aaaand favorite manga: DragonBall (though Fullmetal Alchemist comes close second). I don't have a favorite manhwa since I haven't really found anything that really stood out.
Many thanks to anyone who had the time to read that. As you can see, I'm pretty passionate when it comes to reading :P
