I think that it's actually being made, not sure if this is right, but that's what I have heard.

It's pretty much just rumors and hopes, Yu wanted to get the license from Sega so he could finish it, but no real progress.

I have a feeling it will happen. Don't know how, but the fans do want it, and hell, every 3rd of the month, hundreds of Shenmue fans flock to Sega's twitter to post #GiveYuTheShenmueLicense or something.

I like to think they don't give it to him because they want the trilogy to end on
