Funny you should bring up The Nightmare before Christmas. I have only seen the movie with in the last few years. My mom was a gung oh Cristian, and she thought the movie was "The work of the devil" and "Christmas should not be spoiled with the work of something so evil". I'm not make up those words. Those were her exact words. It's the same reason why I never went trick-or-treating. She has changed, but she still does not like the movie. My niece and nephew have seen the movie but only becuse my sister let them watch it.
Ah, I'm all too familiar with that attitude. One of my aunts wouldn't let her kids watch anything with "magic" in it because she thought someone down the family line died in the Saleem Witch Trials.
