I would play Half Life 3, but to be honest L4D3 and Portal 3 wouldn't really interest me (I loved Portal 1 and 2, but I think the series ended on a good enough note as it is.)
Why is everyone so googoo for [Valve_game] 3? Yes Half-Life 3 may be cool, but is it worth it now? It's turned into Duke Nukem Forever. People kept making the jokes about how it was "Coming soon" and when it came out, everyone hated it and forgot about it. So why are you guys hyping a game that may turn out to be the same thing. But, the same thing happened to Half-Life 2, so what do I know.
My confusion comes in at Left 4 Dead 3, Team Fortress 3 and Portal 3. Why give these a equal? L4D seems to be the only one that has a plot worth "expanding" on, but there's really nothing you can do besides say "Here infected (or whatever stupid name they gave the zombies), go run and kill infected." TF2 seems to have updates every other week. Are you guys not happy with the already cool game? Portal 2 had a nicely closed off ending. Where could they take it? Have Chell use the Portal gun and Companion Cube in outdoor puzzles? That's kinda a stretch for an idea. You really can't do anything with portal any more unless you bring in a new character, but they won't do that based on the test reactions to GLaDOS not recognizing Mel.
Just face it, the only ones that have the best chance at a three is Half live and MAYBE Left 4 Dead.
