Nope. Honestly, as long as the game itself is good and has story that interests me that the way that gen 5 did, this will be my new favorite generation without question.
Your a ten-year-old kid. You get your first pokmon (grass). You go around colecting badges from Gym leaders to take on the Elite Four plus the champ. Along the way, you have to beat the evil gang of bad guys because we said so.
That's all the story it really needs. Why do we need anything bigger? Gens 1 and 2 did not have plots to take over the weather, time, the universe or whatever. They did not really need them. They just had Team Rocket taking over the world by stealing pokemon (and trying to get back to together in the sequel). That's not saying these are bad plots (atlest most of them are not). I'm just saying that sometimes you can over think a game where you are a kid going into a world of dangerous monsters just to train and capture them.
P.S. reading over the plans for each team, they start to repeat themselves after awhile, with Gen 5 changing it a little with trying to have everyone stop using pokemon before going back to the usual "Trying to use a legendary for evil" plan. I would like to see something different when it comes to the plot, but seeing as it is owned by Nintendo, I am waiting to see what Team Flare will do with the embodiments of Good and Evil (or whatever they are meant to be).
