What would be the best pixel ratio for forum pictures?

I did some testing. It looks like something with a width from 650-700 pixels fits inside without breaking through the right side of the screen.

700x266

And the basic 6x4 inch picture (1800x1200 pixels) scaled down would be:

700x467
