I actually know exactly what you're talking about. Whenever I travel abroad, I never want people to know I'm a tourist. As a matter of fact, I'm much more fascinated with getting into the culture than I am at looking at famous stuff. I don't care about looking at the Eiffel Tower. I want to meet French people and see what they do on a normal day. I don't want to see Big Ben. Let me do English stuff.
