DOW Chemical company out of Michigan, USA, the second largest chemical manufacturer in the world, paid for the filming of a comedy film in Yugoslavia in 1985. No, seriously. You see, the company had a large collection of funds in Yugoslavia that could not be freed up for use, however they found a loophole that would allow them to get back all their funds if they funded a film production based in Yugoslavia.
