At the Movies!

I found Tangled free to watch online so I thought I'd give it a shot. I was expecting complete and total garbage like Frozen, so I was shocked when I actually loved the movie. As usual, Disney failed at creating good songs as they've been doing lately, but the comedy was excellent considering it's a kids' film. I laughed out loud during the tavern scene.

It was also a switch to see a three dimensional villain. The thing is, it really wasn't her fault she ended up in that role. She wasn't hurting anyone using that flower for eternal youth and she never intended to kidnap Rapunzel. When your option is to either die or swipe a baby I can understand her choice. Doesn't change she was a manipulative bitch, of course.

I'm in agreement. That movie was way better than I expected it to be when I first saw it. I thought it would be a sappy love story/fairy tale with a princess waiting for her prince to arrive. Not only does she not get a prince, but she didn't need him to escape but really as a means of navigating the world while she deals with her own shit of new found independence and all that jazz. Plus frying pans as weapons is a thing apparently.

Also I want Pascal, that chameleon. He is awesome.
