Seeing as Super C is like the second one to come out and there have been close to 12 (give or take, I lost track around Contra 4 on DS and I was still lost back then) I would say that, yes, you are behind. I think the most recent would be ether Hard Corps: Uprising for PS3 and X-box 360 or Contra ReBirth on Wii.
My opinion though is to not give her the game unless she can deal with it being hard as balls.
