I've grown increasingly accepting of pretty much anything. If someone is interested in something, I try and respect ideas and fandoms. I'm aware Dungeons and Dragons is a little nerdier than what people like, so I'm not one to talk or judge.

But, no matter how hard I try, I will never understand the Pony fandom.

I've done the same thing, but it's becuse I'm starting to see that people put strnge types of stories in movies, games, and TV shows. Do we really understand that we have shows about mutant turtles fighting ninjas and monsters, people in colorful costumes fighting aliens and sometimes mutants, and.... well, whatever Cow and Chicken was about.

Also I understand why people like the pony show, as it is pretty entertaining though dumb at times (my niece made me watch it a few times). I just don't understand the grown men watching the show, like how did they first find out they liked it.
