I can't believe the comments on that article aren't in agreement though... Seriously, every exert there demonstrates bias, and thus adjusting our views of the title. Exterior conditions for the user alter their perception, and the game isn't judged as just a game.
The only basis for reviews in this manner work on storefronts. For example, Steam's user reviews system works well because everyone is on a level playing field and know exactly what is going on.
