Wow, 100%, that's crazy! You must be really good, I've been trying at that for years. I agree with you, the physics in 2 are way better- I NEVER understood why the Pikmin were always tripping in the first game. To add realism, I guess, but the developers should've never gone for realism over fun!

thanks heheh, it took me several tries on a lot of them, but eventually I managed it cause I'm just persistent. :P
as an interesting note, I haven't lost any Pikmin to poison and/or burning, or one of those hazards in the main story mode.
and yea I think sometimes the developers don't realize how hindering a little feature/detail can be to the average player. I normally wouldn't care but they trip often enough I almost literally have to walk with them like little children and keep stopping/slowing down to make sure they're all following.
