Heyo, fellow trivia enthusiasts.
Are any of you familiar with a PS2 game called Musashi: Samurai Legend?
I can't seem to find any particularly quality sources to justify this, but there seems to be an interesting pattern of character names for the members of Gandrake Enterprises, as well as other characters with another theme.
Basically, aside from Gandrake himself, the members of his company are named after wine-related terms, those being Rothschild (after Château Mouton Rothschild, a famous wine estate), Malbec, Shiraz, Riesling, and Glogg (a type of Scandinavian spiced wine).
Considering that this game's sequel, Brave Fencer Musashi, had its antagonists boasting alcohol-related names in the Japanese version ( http://www.vgfacts.com/trivia/7885/ ), I don't think this was done as a coincidence, especially since this game's higher ESRB rating meant that Square Enix could've gotten away with it this time around.
However, I've also noticed a pattern of cheese types in the names of the characters Mycella (a Danish version of Gorgonzola cheese), Burrini (Southern Italian [/size]provolone[size=x-small] with butter in its center), Fontina (another Italian cheese), Mirabo (German cheese with walnuts inside), Maribo (Danish cheese similar to Gouda), Istara (French cheese made from sheep milk), and Clochette (bell-shaped French goat cheese).
If anyone can help me find a reliable source that helps back up these claims, especially regarding the staff of Gandrake Enterprises, that would be very much appreciated.
