It's more impressive to show everyone what you colect by pointing at the shelve insted of scrolling though a list. It's the same reason that I don't like e-books. It helps protect them and makes sure you can read/play them in the future, but you can't really share a book/game with a friend unless you give them the kindle/system (to my knowledge).
Exactly my point. People can look at my stuff on my shelf and see what I have without me having to seem all showy about it with the list of digital downloads I own. I feel like an ass saying hey look at me when I have to put in effort to show people what I have in the digital realm.
