^You forget (if not, just didn't know) that there was a lady who took her child to an R rated movie and complaned to the manager that the movie was not family friendly. That's all well and good, but what do people really expect from a movie called the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
The same can be said about titles like Manhunt and Grand Theft Auto. You look at a box that has a rating and you don't think "This says Mature 17+. Little Timmy is only 5. He does not need this."? I know that they are going to try to find a way to get to these games with or without the help of the parnets. I played GTA3 when I was in middle shcool but as my mother said "I was judgeing if you were mature enough to play these games."in her eyes she knew that I was responsible enough to play a game about murder and law bracking, but I was also like 14 at the time not 5-8 like these other children are when mommy just gives in to them and gets shocked and avended when the game has Boobies and Swearing in it.
The whole thing of "My parents were too strict when I was a kid. Mine are going to have more freedom" just leads to more assholes in the world and mothers wondering " where did I go wrong.
