Regarding on Duke Nukem. That game should have been scrapped to begin with.

It practically was, like three or so times.

I believe the game was scrapped 3 times. The final version we got was started in 2007, finished in 2009, and then final polishing and porting to other consoles pushed it into 2011.

On topic:

I've always wanted a Zelda JRPG, where Link can recruit other members, monsters, and maybe even other Links. Maybe even Mario RPG it and have Ganon be a party member.
