I once talked about how Toy Story was going to have a different plot. Turns out it was also going to have a diffrent Woody as well. There exists a draft of the movie were Woody was going to be a mean spirted toy that ruled over the toys. There exists a(n unfinished) clip from that draft of the movie know as "the Black Friday Reel."




What blows my mind is that both Tom Hanks and Tim Allen as well as Sergeant Ermey are in the clip so they were really going with this idea before audience reaction to the reel had them change him. For those who have seen Toy Story 3, you'll know that they shelved the idea and reused it for the big bad in that movie.

I also want to add this: Woody had an additional pull string response that we never heard. The reason was because it was cut from the movie all together. This line ("I'd like to join your posse, boys, but first I'm gonna sing a little song")was added to TS3.
