There...there must have been a smarter and more efficient way of dealing with that army of walkers.
I mean, I was thinking why not just set the trucks on fire, and possibly pushing several cars down there along with some gasoline or something and blowing them up to create an endless inferno that would burn all if not most of the walkers? If it did attract noise and more walkers it's not like that fire would be leaving any time soon so they'd also be burned there.
Additionally, once they're all burned and to stop anything like that from happening again, they could've dug around it so it'd be much deeper and the walkers couldn't get out if they fell down there.
If they were smart, they could've used the Quarry as a trap for the walkers and keep Alexandria safe. It would've taken a lot of time yes, but it's not like the choice they chose was any better.
Still, new series, new stuff. So excite.
