Pretty much everything that lead up to and occurred during WW2 can be traced back to the Treaty of Versailles. If that never occurred, WW2 wouldn't have happened. Regardless, even if the oppressed population of Germany was armed, it wouldn't have made much of a difference. Kristallnacht might have been harder to achieve and there may have been some backlash during the later years, but in the end it most likely would've fuelled the propaganda machine by saying something stupid like "How could a fellow German turn against their own people?" or something.
A bit off topic, but linking gun control to the causes of the Holocaust is missing the bigger picture.
