In Super Smash Bros. Melee, there is a special bonus in classic and adventure mode called "KO 64". The description of this special bonus says "KO'd an enemy when the enemy was at 64% damage" and the bonus gives x640 to your score.
The "KO 64" bonus is most likely a possible reference to the Nintendo 64, a console Nintendo made.
