Well from what I read at the time this moved the FBI to begin creating a perimeter around the facility in preparation for a siege situation. Which is something they should have done weeks ago. These guys had electricity, internet, water, mail, and the ability to come and go as they pleased. The only arrest up to that point had been one guy picked up by local cops for having stolen one of the facility's vehicles and driving it in town to pick up supplies.
Apparently the one who was shot and killed was LaVoy Finicum, the guy who apparently made foster children work on his ranch as his primary source of income (remember folks, if you hire them, it's child labor, but if you adopt/foster them, it's just chores ;) ). He told the media a week or so ago that he refused to go to jail and he'd rather die there. Looks like he got his wish.
