I really love the world and exploration as a whole, it's just these dark world dungeons feel super cheap and tedious. Plus, when you do manage to defeat the asshole bosses, there's next to no feeling of actual accomplishment. In Ocarina and pretty much every other Zelda game I've ever played, you get to see something happen after clearing a dungeon. Like the Zora home thawing or refilling Lake Hylia or talking to the baby deku tree, you get these tangible moments of healing the world that make you feel great as a player. Here you just rescue another fuckin girl with a different colored hat and awful exposition and that's it. Less reward for going through more shit.
That's fair enough. I did enjoy that I could do any dungeon in any order, meaning I did the 3rd dungeon 6th, and I killed the moth boss in 2 hits which was funny to me.
I never liked that the dark world was the main part of the game. It looked horrible and everything about it was just not nice. Just like how Ocarina had it's 7 years later world (but I didn't mind that much, you switched back constantly) the light world just felt like it became useless after you went to the dark world, hard to explain how but I really wished it didn't just become forgotten, or that it had 6 dungeons rather than just 4, and leaving the remaining 8 in the dark world.
