I know that you guys have played these games before but I feel more comfortable listing them in spoiler form, okay.
Look, the idea of Pikmin is of a little guy trapped in a big world with a slight chance of ever going home. It depresses me everytime I lose in the game because of the implication of what Olimar has to go thru. He will always be alone with these odd creatures, not understanding and hearing that same pikmin chatter. To live in this world that wants to kill you every day of your life. It's something that I couldn't shake off as a kid and has stuck with me
It's pretty obvious but the Bowser Jr. and Bowser conversation of Peach not being the mother is pretty damn potent. It is rare to see such deep character developement in a Mario game that it really hits you hard when Bowser Jr. knows and laments with his father together looking out into the sunshine.
Maybe it's because of the recent announcement of RDR2, but that ending is such a emotional heavyhitter that it reminds you about your actions within the game. You killed your former friends, ruined NPC lives, and basically a pawn to an evil organization. When it came down to it, how else was it going to end? A very classic western ending
Not the Boss revelation/ending but the torture scene where Volgin beats the ever loving shit out of Snake. It demonstrated Snake at his lowest point and that utter humiliation moment where Snake PISSED HIMSELF. That critical moment made me hate the M. Bison looking motherfucker so bad that his death was very satisfying to boot.
