Forgot what an enormous "Fuck You" the final boss of FTL is to the player.

It's a ship that's exponentially stronger than anything you've fought before and it's nearly impossible to kill him, even with a maxed out ship. If you do somehow manage to defeat him...

he jumps away "last second", even if you've destroyed his engines, which again no other ship in the game can do. Then he's back in milliseconds, with full health and shields, and also has an army of drones on his sides. Fuck that shit, kills any and all enthusiasm I ever had to beat the game, since beating that second form probably results in him "jumping away!" for a third one. Some contrived ass bullshit if I've ever seen it.
