In the Super Smash Bros. Series, Yoshi has been one of the more Heavier Characters, as explained on these lists, which can also be shown by playing each game ourselves:

But in the Mario Spinoffs, Yoshi is usually a Middle or Light Character, unfortunately I can only find sites regarding the Mario Kart franchise, none for other Mario Sports (at the moment atleast, if any are found, they can be added):
