The journey isĀ over.... today I watched Mario Puzo's The Godfather Part III.
Vincent Mancini (Andy Garcia) is every bit as wild and hot tempered as Sonny was from The Godfather, and I'm saying this in a good way. Al Pacino's performance as an aging Michale Corleone that tries to come to terms with his life is great.
I recently found out that there were talks for a fourth movie based on the Corleone family many years ago. While it might be true that there is some potential for another movie, I think The Godfather: Part III is a fine film to end the saga, specially considering that the original author of the novel (who worked on the screenplay himself along with the director) has passed away, so... let's just say it wouldn't be the same without him.
