I like Adventure Time and My Little Pony, but I haven't watched any Gravity Falls.
I really like Regular Show and the Amazing World of Gumball. The Looney Tunes show and the new Scooby Doo show aren't half bad either.
It looks like there's a big shakeup going on with CN's Action Shows on the DC Nation block. They're getting rid of Young Justice and Green Lantern. They're making a new Teen Titans series called Teen Titans Go! but it's not an action show, it's a comedy show. It also looks like they're making another one of those Lego shows that I've never been able to get into.
It's a shame because I really liked Young Justice. Like Thundercats and Symbionic Titan, I think it ended too soon.
Definitely not as heartbreaking as the cancellation of MegasXLR.
The state of cartoons on Cartoon Network really isn't that bad. There's been a revival of good shows lately. Ben10 isn't for me, but I think it's a pretty good action show for kids who are at the target age.
Nickelodeon is another story. I can't really think of anything worth watching besides Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and SpongeBob. The entire channel is mostly made up of the tween Disney Channel-esque shows. I mean, we had some of those when I was a kid (Kenan & Kel for example) but it seems like that's basically the whole damn channel now.
The Hub is another pretty good channel. Its got a more diverse range of programming, but my only problem is that it's all very product oriented. It makes sense why: Hasbro partly owns the channel and you can consider growing restrictions on how often advertisers can target ads towards kids. I don't necessarily think that these shows made to sell toys are bad, I just wish they'd take more chances with some shows that aren't meant to push forward product.
I can't really speak too much about cartoons on Disney or Disney XD... I just don't really watch those channels. I saw the Ultimate Spider-Man show, and while it's definitely aimed at younger kids, I don't think it's that bad of a show. But Iron Fist and Nova are some of my favorite overlooked Marvel characters, so anything that gets them more exposure is okay in my book.
A lot of people like Phineas and Ferb. It seemed like a pretty good cartoon from the little I've seen of it, just not really my type of cartoon. That platypus is cute though.
