Take it with salt, but its finally happening.
The only part of this rumor that I'm willing to accept is that sometime next month we might see the game officially announced, but beyond that I'm a skeptic. For starters, having a year long timed exclusive for the PS4 does make sense, but announcing that, certainly doesn't. Crash Bandicoot was so successful because it was thought to be an exclusive for the PS4 entirely. While timed-exclusives have proven to not hurt sales that much in the long run, I still have my doubts that announcing that it's timed, would do anything but hurt Spyro's sales on the PS4. I'm also not going to buy into a Q3 release date here. For this game, Activision will probably market it for 9 months and release it just weeks before their biggest release at the end of the year. At best if it is Q3, we're talking the last few days of it. Finally, the rumor suggests that some content from the original trilogy of titles will be cut, likely to try and add it as DLC later on, even if the rumor doesn't say that bit, but I doubt that one either. If content is cut from the game to be sold as DLC, even if it's given away for free for a bit, I think people would be so outraged, we'd be looking at one of the biggest controversy's of the year, and the stigma surrounding DLC and trying to pull back on features of a game isn't something Activision should want looming over their heads. Also, whose ever heard of a remake that removes content from a game instead of adding to it? In short, I believe the game is coming, but the rest of this seems a bit BS to me.
