Annihilation.
There are very few movies that justify going to the theatre. For the "general audience", its to watch a heavy spectacle bonanza filled with cheap thrills and pushing a franchise along.
Movies like Annihilation is an anomaly because this movie is an example of a cinematic experience that MUST be seen at a theatre. There is no way around it, you can hate it or love it but it's the experience itself that will leave you mesmerized. The first 2 acts is intriguing but it's the ending that really seals the deal.
Plus it's the same director that made Ex Machina.
