I just finished watching Kubo and the Two Strings.
The animation and sound desing was fantastic. The story itself was really well developed and had some interesting meta-commentary on storytelling and tropes. The characters are fun and lovable, but also brave and Multi-faceted. Not a single character felt out of place and their inclusion felt important, the monkey being a personal favorite of mine.
Just go see it if you haven't.
EDIT: technically the 'Monkey' character should be called an ape giving that's what (s)he is (monkeys do not have tails, remenber?). But you know, details.
EDIT 2: I know I'm ten days late, but happy 10th anniversary to The Spectacular Spider-Man! It's a shame we never got a third season...
