The Wall Street Journal is reporting that a new Nintendo Switch model could release as soon as Summer 2019.
UPDATE: This potential update likely won't improve on the console's raw power as Nintendo are still looking to make it relatively cheap and a focus seems to be on making the Switch "thinner, brighter and more energy efficient".
Overall, this approach seems to mirror that of theĀ DS Lite as it was also released only 2 years after the original DS and boasted being slimmer/brighter as well as having an improved screen/battery life.
