A new animated adaptation of Devil May Cry is on the works, and is being made by the same dude behind the Castlevania Netflix series!
EDIT: a lot of people seem to be confused about this whole "bootleg multiverse" deal, so I'll explain. The terminologies "shared universe" and "multiverse" mean two completely different things. When Adi Shankar talks about a bootleg multiverse he talks about his media repertoire, mostly composed of unofficial/fan films (hence the term "bootleg"), including Truth in Journalism and Dirty Laundry, based of Marvel characters Venom and The Punisher respectively.
Mister Shankar has been using the term "bootleg multiverse" in reference to his own repertoire since FOREVER! It does not mean that the two shows (DMC and Castlevania) are directly connected.
