All the title annoucements:
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, based on Octopath Traveler's engine. That's right, folks. Dragon Quest III is getting its FOURTH remake now. The game was orginally released on the NES/Famicom. First it was the Super Famicom remake, then it was Game Boy Color remake, then it was the Android/iOS remake (which was used as the basis for the PS4, 3DS and Switch ports of DQIII). And now this one. It's been FOUR times this game got a remake. Four times. They also teased the possibility of remake of DQI and DQII.
Not gonna lie, the game looks really pretty.
"An NES era game is getting a remake? Outrageous, I tell ya! Ou-" Alright, listen up you smartass. You just missed the point of my comment. I never said it was a bad thing per say. I'm just surprised about it, that's all. From what I could find the reception towards the Android/iOS remake is pretty divided. Many like it and many hate it. Perphas that was the main reason why SE is making a fourth remake of this game?
"This is nowhere near as bad as Game Freak's Gen 1 pandering nor Capcom's milking of Street Fighter II" - Oh yeah, I agree. But what does that have to do with Dragon Quest?
A Dragon Quest Free-to-play mobile game was announced.
DQX Offline coming 2022 to Japan. As the tile says, this is an offline version of Dragon Quest X.
Dragon Quest Treasures announced. It's an spinoff focusing on DQXI character Erik.
