Speaking of the balkans and wars.... Have you heard of the Đorđe Martinović incident? This one is a little NSFW so you've been warned

Back in 1985, a Serbian farmer from Kosovo named Đorđe Martinović shoved a bottle up his anus and was taken to the hospital because of it. Instead of admitting he was horny he said that the Albanians did it. This caused tentions between Serbians and Albanians to rise. But more importantly, this caused a rise in Serbian nationalism. It is believed that this incident is one of the reasons for the collapse of Yugoslavia.

Let me repeat this: One of the reasons for the collapse of Yugoslavia was that a Serbian guy shoved a bottle up his anus and blamed the Albanians for it. What the fuck.

EDIT: if something like this happened in a movie or fictional piece in general people would say its too unrealistic. Ironic, I know.
